自然の音や音楽、そして目には見えない気配に深く耳を澄ませ、そこに宿るリズム、間、響き、そして微細な知覚の揺らぎを、色や形へと変容させる抽象画家。
私の制作は、音や感覚を絵画へと変換する行為であると同時に、人と自然、内面と世界のあいだに流れる見えないつながりに、あらためて気づいていくための試みでもある。
そうしたものに触れたときに立ち上がる微細な揺らぎをすくい上げ、層として重ねながら、画面の中で静かに再構成していく。
作品は、忘れかけていた感覚や自然とのつながりをそっと呼び覚ます小さな対話の場でありたい。

Keiko Soma is an abstract artist who transforms subtle perceptions into color and form through deep listening.
Her practice is both an act of converting sound and sensation into painting and an attempt to become newly aware of the invisible connections that flow between human beings and nature, the inner self and the world.
She listens deeply to the sounds of nature, the rhythms of music, moments of pause and interval, attunement, and the sounds that arise from within. She gathers them, layers them, and quietly reconstructs them within the picture plane.
Her works aspire to become small spaces of dialogue that gently reawaken forgotten senses and our connection to nature, so that human beings and nature may once again breathe together.
